If you find these scary-looking insects in your home, you had better know what it means

While most of us can tolerate a few bugs indoors, some insects are definitely harder to live with than others. For those in rural areas, summer often brings an influx of flies, ants, spiders, and more, all trying to invade our homes.
Earwigs, in particular, are quite unwelcome. Though harmless, these creepy crawlies are far from cute. As one person put it, “I can live with spiders spinning their webs in the corners, and an occasional fly buzzing around the kitchen won’t ruin my day. But earwigs? No thanks.”
A handy tip from Facebook user Alicia Alexander offers a simple yet effective way to deal with earwigs. She suggests filling a shallow bowl with half a cup of olive oil and placing it outside. Earwigs are attracted to the oil but can’t escape once they crawl inside.
Alicia even shared photos showing how many earwigs she trapped in less than 24 hours!
While finding earwigs inside your home might indicate issues like rotting wood nearby, their presence is generally harmless. As one article noted, “Earwigs seeking warmer conditions inside your house isn’t anything to be alarmed about.”
